Under the direction of Nā Kumu Hula (Hula masters) Karl Veto Baker and Michael Casupang hula is more than a beautiful art; it transcends all that they do and becomes a passion and a way of life. Feel that passion and emotion as this award winning hālau celebrates its 10 year anniversary in this magnificent display of kahiko (ancient) and 'auana (modern) hula. After winning top honors in last year's prestigious Merrie Monarch Hula Festival, Hālau I Ka Wēkiu offers the rich and captivating dance, music, chanting and choreography that portrays the Hawaiian way of life.
